James Edwin Dyer
Jim Dyer passed peacefully on August 8, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. He was 70 years old.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Elizabeth, his son Chris and wife Bev with grandsons Oliver and Isaac, his son Bob and wife Eun Il and granddaughters Marley and Zoe. Also survived by his brother Bill (Marjukka) Dyer, and sisters Judy (Doug) Watt and Laurel Krueger. He was predeceased by his parents Roberta and Bill Dyer, sister Pat Dyer and brother-in-law Keith Krueger.
Jim was born in Moose Jaw, SK and moved to Neepawa as a young boy. He attended school in Neepawa and worked for two summers for MB Hydro before getting on full time right out of High School. He worked as a lineman and went on to become a District Operator.
His sons and grandkids were the light of his life and he was pretty sure he hit the jackpot when it came to his daughters-in-law.
Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at McKenzie United Church at 1:00 pm.
As expressions of sympathy, donate blood in memory of Jim; a proud 75 time donor, or donations may be made in Jim’s memory to Central Plains Cancer Services 318 E Saskatchewan Ave, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 0K8.
