James "Dempsy" Arthur Hobson

With his eldest daughter & son in law at his bedside, James passed away peacefully at his home.

He leaves to mourn all his children, Tanya Gott (Sam), James Myran (Stephanie) Barbara (Chris), Tiffany, Tracy (Ryan), Jonathan (Vicki). Grandchildren, Cassandra (Ian), Sean (Joey), Gage, Gabriel, Liam, Alexander, Alyssa, Aaliyah, Lynnette Lorraine, and Carter. Great Grandchildren, Adian John, Isiah, Kian, Leo, Tahlia and Rain. Siblings, Lawrence, Randall, Denise, Valerie, Arthur, Keith, Owen, Andrea and half-brother Trevor Bruno. Long time special friend, George Meeches

He is predeceased by his wife Lorraine Myran, parents, Mabel Hobson and Clarence Myran, brother Faron Hobson and granddaughter Kaitlyn Myran

In 1967, James would take his future wife on their first date to a historical event to see the Centennial Confederation Train; from there their love would keep them bonded for 54 years.  He loved sports, whether he played or coached a team, and he enjoyed baseball, hockey and golfing.  He attended Brandon University and Yellowquill College.  He had various jobs throughout his life; CN Rail, Sekine, Fire Department, LPFN positions, Maple Leaf, Taxi Driver, Bingo Caller, and for 14 years a School Bus Driver for LP School.  Most memorable was his never-ending love for his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, his great sense of humor, his kind and gentle nature, he was always happy and smiling, whenever he greeted people in a friendly manner.
