“Jack”
After a long illness, with family by his side, on Sunday, June 28, 2015, Jack Wishart passed away peacefully at Lion’s Prairie Manor, Portage la Prairie at the age of 87 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his son Robert and daughter-in-law Carol, grandson Jeff, granddaughter Andrea (James) Friesen, great grandchildren Keegan, Mackenzie and Hunter Friesen. Jack was predeceased by his beloved wife Lorretta; sister Audrey; parents Robert and Jean; sisters-in-law Vera (Roy) Harrington, Jean (Bucky) Mullins and Audrey (Andy) MacPherson and brother-in-law Frank Bochek.
Jack will also be fondly remembered by sisters-in-law Lillian Bochek and Betty (Leith) Shearer and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Jack enjoyed many hours carving intricate wood carvings and playing many instruments. He had a great sense of humour, loved a good joke but had a stubborn side.
A Celebration of Jack’s Life will be held on Friday, July 3, 2015, at 1:00 pm at Trinity United Church with viewing prior to the service. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Jack’s memory to Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, South Central, Unit 5B 457 9 th Street, Brandon, MB R7A 4A9 or to a charity of choice.
