After a brief illness Iris passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, January 17, 2010 in the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 83 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Bill Egan; parents Norman and Alice Greenwood; brother Kenneth and sister Jean.
Left to cherish Iris' memory are her son Don Egan of Edmonton, Alberta, granddaughter Kari (Rod), great-grandchildren Cazandra, Rodrigo, Madison and Tyler, grandson Cory, great-grandchildren Brooke and Cole; son Ken Egan of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, grandson Stuart (Clarice), great-grandchildren Juliana and Jillian, granddaughter Rhonda (Urbano); son Richard (Kathy) Egan of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, grandchildren Michelle, Sara and Christopher; brother Harold of France, sister-in-law Bessie of England, life long friend Joan Swaine and family.
Join us in a Celebration of Iris' Life at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Thursday, January 21, 2010 from 7 a�" 8 pm. There will be an opportunity to share memories during this time. The internment will be at Hillside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Iris' memory to a charity of one's choice.
A tree will be planted in memory and cared for by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel
