Iris Calverley

Peacefully on Monday, February 26, 2018 Iris Calverley passed away in the Portage District General Hospital surrounded by family following a brief illness at the age of 88 years.

Iris is survived by her son Scott (Janet) and grandson Jeris (Monika) with great grandson Onyx, and grandson Curtis (Karly); son Cory (Ilse); daughter Wendy (Arnold) Blight and granddaughter Kirstin Blight (Todd Thurston) with great grandson Carter; and daughter Sandra.  She was predeceased by her husband Cecil in 2014.

A private family interment has taken place at the Poplar Point cemetery.  Friends and family are invited to a reception on Monday, June 25, 2018 at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel at 1:00 pm.

As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Iris’ memory to the Portage District General Hospital Foundation, 524 Fifth St.SE, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 3A8 or to Sunset Palliative Care Inc, Box 92, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 3B2.
