Harry George Read Cummer
Peacefully, with his family by his side, Harry Cummer went home to be with the Lord on February 1, 2015 at the age of 78 years.
Harry leaves to mourn his wife of 41 years Nancy Elizabeth Cummer; daughters Brenda (Chris), Rhonda (Norman), Ivy; sons Wayne, Robert and Timothy. He also leaves to mourn his brother Ron and sisters Jessie and Ina and numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dad was predeceased by his parents George Scott Cummer in 1989 and Pauline Cummer in 2006 and also his brother Andrew Cummer.
Dad loved working on the farm but the thing he loved the most was taking his champion Canadian Kennel Club German Shepherd named Traveller to dog shows in Winnipeg and he was really happy when they won on that Thanksgiving Day tournament.
The family wishes to thank the Portage District General Hospital and staff for taking care of him.
Wake service will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel.
