Grant was born in Portage la Prairie, MB, while growing up in Lavenham and Portage. He was married to his loving wife Sylvia for 45 years until her passing in May of 2015. Grant worked several jobs in his life, beginning at the age of 16, where he worked at Safeway as a stock person. Moving on to the CN Railroad for several years, then after that worked on many farms in the surrounding area. His greatest accomplishment was establishing himself a successful cleaning business S.P.A.C.E. He loved all his family, both his own and extended family, The Thompson’s and The Bernard’s. He loved to always joke with family with his light, heartedness. He enjoyed playing baseball and shooting pool in his younger years. He loved to have family visits, in which he would get his timmies. In the last few years, he enjoyed spending time on his computer and watching movies which is evident by his extensive movie collection.
