With great sadness, we announce the passing of Grace Young at 62 years of age due to complications with C.O.P.D.
Left to mourn her passing are her children Jeffrey (Liz) Harrison of Nanaimo, BC. and Nicholas Harrison of Fort St. John, BC; along with her grandchildren Caden, Zac and Mariah. She also leaves behind her brothers Jim (Linda) of Portage la Prairie and David (Nadine) of Red Deer, Alberta; sister-in-law Barb Young of Portage la Prairie; brother-in-law Steve Struthers of Neustadt, Ontario; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Grace was predeceased by her parents Andy and Aileen Young; sisters Lynda Young and Phyllis Enns-Struthers; brother Chuck Young.
Earlier in Grace’s life, she worked hard on the farm. As a sideline, she raised and sold chickens for many years and had a market garden as well. She also raised a few goats that were forever getting into mischief. She loved the farm life and these were her happiest years. Later in life, Grace became a Health Care Aide - a job she was proud of. Most recently she worked in a group home with Visions of Independence. Grace cherished the time she got to spend with her boys and her grandchildren. She loved kids and the kids loved her - she could always be found interacting with the kids at family gatherings.
Your struggles are over, Grace. Rest in peace.
