Gordon Clayton 'Eric' Myran

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gordon Clayton ‘Eric’ Myran in Winnipeg, MB. He was 56 years old when he passed into the Spirit World.

Eric will be sadly missed by his brothers Dwayne (Angel) and Sheldon, and special nephew Keyodie,  as well as many aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, the Cameron family of Swan Lake First Nation and friends.

Eric was predeceased by his mom Dorothy Grace, stepdad Ralph, father Stewart, brother Ricky, uncles Dennis, Art and Thomas, cousin Gordie, maternal grandparents Louise and Louis Sr. and paternal grandparents Sam and Grace.

Eric was a very kind, gentle and respectful individual. He loved to visit with his family and friends. He respected his culture.

Eric attended school in Winnipeg, and pretty well spent his whole life there. In his early years, due to his health challenges, he was placed in foster care and had a very good family, the Dunlops, that provided the care he needed.

He enjoyed watching sports, reading his history books and doing problem solving activities. He was an avid reader.

From time to time, he would come home to Long Plain, just to visit and to see how many more relatives he had. And despite his challenges, he remained positive, happy and humble.

We love you and will miss you. Our comfort is knowing that you are now with your brother Ricky, mother Dorothy, father Stewart, stepfather Ralph and all our loved ones on the other side.

Traditional Wake will take place at Long Plain Spirit Lodge on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 4:00 pm.  Traditional Feast and Service will be held at Long Plain Spirit Lodge on Monday, August 8, 2021 beginning at noon, followed by burial at Dauphin Myran Cemetery.
