Gordon James Lumsden
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving father Gorden Lumsden on Friday, August 5, 2011 at the age of 83 years.
Gordon was predeceased by his wife Peggy on October 5, 2010. He leaves behind his sons Terry (Pam), Kevin and Brent; daughter Patsy (Patrick) Leswick; Tami; three granddaughters Tara (Nathan), Melissa and Brittany (Mike); one great grandson Oliver and his faithful dog "Tiny D".
Gordon worked as a mechanic for many years and later was employed at the MDC, which he said was his favorite place of employment. He loved his family, nature, wildlife, sports, ice cream and chocolates. Gordon spent many hours in the den watching for martins, jenny wrens, hummingbirds, rabbits and squirrels.
A special thanks to the doctors, nurses and support staff on the medical floor of the Portage District General Hospital for their compassion and loving care during Dad's stay.
Cremation has taken place and a family graveside service will take place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
Dad you were the best and you will be in our hearts forever! We will miss you deeply.
