Gordon Francis Sr.
Peacefully with family by his side Gordon Francis Sr. entered the spirit world on February 7, 2013 at the age of 52 years.
The family that will continue to celebrate Gordon's life are his companion Melvina Maureen Bone; Children John, Gordon Jr., Daniel, and Rodney; siblings Carol, Liz, Beatrice, Clair, Birdy, Kotton, Gabby, Laura, Helen, Sherri; in-laws Maurice, Hiacinth, Kenward, Elizabeth, Merelia, Joan, Melissa, Jeffrey, Stuart: along with numerous relatives and many best friends. He was predeceased by his son Edward Francis; parents Walter and Flora Francis and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
Gordon was born on August 11, 1960 in Portage la Prairie, MB. He fought a courageous battle with diabetes over the years. Gordon was always upbeat, considerate and loving. He was a man of many talents, a musician, an artist and a mentor. Gordon loved life and lived it to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by family, friends and relatives.
Traditional Wake will begin Monday, February 11, 2013 at 4:00 pm at 228 Yellowquill Trail West at Long Plain First Nation. Traditional Service and Feast will take place on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 followed by his body being laid to rest in the Francis Family Cemetery.
