Gerald Louis “Jerry” Marinier
It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Gerald “Jerry” Marinier, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, on April 15, 2013 at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 44 years
Jerry will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sandra; son Jesse; daughter Stacey; siblings Michelle Marinier, James Marinier, David (Carrie) Marinier, Tammy (Ryan) Andrich; parents Linda (Mike) Gladue; mother-in-law Esther Tom; sister-in-law Michelle Tom and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Louis Marinier.
Jerry was raised in MacGregor – Bagot area. One of his great passions were his dogs, he loved and appreciated their companionship. Jerry also enjoyed working on old car motors. You could find him messing around with things that you would think was a piece of junk, but he would always make them run like new. In his younger years he enjoyed going fast, whether it be on dirtbikes, skidoos or go-carts. Jerry loved life to the fullest, he had a great sense of humour and could take as well as give his share of sarcasm. He will always be remembered for his smile and fun loving attitude.
Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Friday, April 19, 2013at 1:30 pm with Rev. Beth Kerr officiating. Interment is to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Jerry’s memory to Canadian Diabetes Association, 200 – 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
