Gary Longclaws

With sadness and heavy hearts we announce that Gary Longclaws left on his journey to the Spirit World on Monday, May 17, 2021, at the Selkirk Hospital, at the age of 63 years.

Left to remember Gary’s memory are his siblings Ernest (Molly) Longclaws, Diana (Chris) Wescoupe, Harold (Sarah) Longclaws and Judy (Nelson) Grothe, roommate Earl Hill, along with numerous nieces, nephews , extended family and friends.

Gary was predeceased by his mother Clara Longclaws Jr., father James Walker and niece Holly Longclaws.

Gary was born on June 14, 1957 in Portage la Prairie, MB.  He attended a Native Christian Church where in lived in Selkirk, MB.  Earl Hill was his very best friend and roommate for 20 years.  When Gary was sick Earl always looked after him.  Gary loved to draw pictures and go camping in the outdoors.

Private family services will be held, with burial to follow at Longclaws/Prince Cemetery.
