“Sir Frank”
In the evening of February 25, 2023 at the Portage District General Hospital, Sir Frank was called by his late mother to join her and our ancestors in the spirit world at the age of 52 years.
Frank II leaves to mourn his passing his only child Frank III; one grandchild Frank IV and sister Dellane Hudson.
Frank II was predeceased by his maternal great grandparents Jerry and Clara Longclaws, Grandmother Eliza Longclaws (Young Gal), grandfather Clifford Chaske (Jeepers) and mother Josephine-Ann Longclaws (Jo-Mama), grandfather Stanley Smith, grandmother Mary Hudson and father Franklin I. Frank was also predeceased by niece Linda Cook and nephew Brandon Hudson.
Frank was born on August 10, 1970 in Portage la Prairie, MB. Frank and his sister Dellane grew up living between their mom and grandma Liza in Winnipeg and Calgary. While in Calgary, Frank II joined the sea cadets and took pride in being in his uniform. He attended Greenway High School in Winnipeg and both Forest Lawn and Jack James High Schools in Calgary . While Frank II lived in Winnipeg and Calgary he would work for the Red River Ex as a carny and would travel with them to both of his home cities. Being a bus driver for Long Plain Daycare his song for the kids to listen to on the way to daycare was Double Dutch Bus. Back in Calgary he worked at a lumber yard on the east side. After his mom passed he came home to Manitoba and would be a security guard for Paladin Security watching over the RBC Convention Centre for the last 5 years. While attending YellowQuill College he became a father and became a single father when his son was 6 months old. He would do anything to show his son Junior a good and happy life. Going skiing at Calgary’s Winsport where the Olympians practiced. Frank took his son to numerous concerts from old school rock and metal to country and all other mixes. Ever since Junior was a small boy, Frank made sure to his only child to most events at the convention center. Things like monster truck shows, car and truck shows, concerts, etc. Junior was his world!
Frank is our family Hero, back in the 90’s he lived in Winnipeg. A fire had broken out at a house across the street from his place. He knew there was a family in that house. The lower half of the house was ablaze! He yelled at the family to jump out the 2nd floor window and he would catch them. Not only is Frank our Hero but he’s the Hero for the family he saved.
