Frank Alfred Pelletier
With family at his side, Frank Alfred Pelletier (Little Grey Owl) passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 in the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 76 years.
He was predeceased by his Parents Fred and Madeline Pelletier, Brother Raymond (Bud) Pelletier, Sister Beverly Pelletier, Children Baby-son Jeffrey, Daughters Jaquie Pelletier and Bernadette Prince (nee Pelletier), Granddaughter Angelina Reta Thompson-Pelletier. Left to treasure his memory are his beloved Wife Marge Pelletier of Gainsborough; Children Elvis and Julie Pelletier of Black River First Nation, Kim and Eugene Ratt of Peguis First Nation, Linda and Keith Wilson of Peguis First Nation, Richard Pelletier of Portage la Prairie, Beverly Ann Pelletier of Winnipeg, Jeffrey David Pelletier of Portage la Prairie and Jon-Marc and Angie Pelletier of Portage la Prairie; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Frank enjoyed working in his garage, being in the out of doors, hunting and fishing. He was very fond of fiddle music and square dancing and he especially enjoyed listening to his Son-in-law Eugene Ratt sing and play his guitar. Frank loved any activity that involved being with his family or in a group gathering.
Wake will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010 at the family residence starting at 5:00 pm. Traditional Feast and Funeral Service will be on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 12:00 noon led by Elder Del Assiniboine. Interment is to follow at Woods-Myron Cemetery, Long Plain First Nation.
As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Frank's memory to Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 21 Royal Road S., Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 1T8.
