Peacefully on January 9 ^th ,  2015, after a lengthy illness with diabetes Fern Ann Chadney Meeches passed away at the age of 41 years.

She leaves to cherish her memory are her children: Cathline, Errol, Colby, Brady and Baby Fern; siblings Angie Meeches (Trinity), Donna Woods, Chris Woods, Frankie Francis and Kristen Francis; many uncles, aunties, neices and nephews.

Predeceased by her grandparents Edward and Elizabeth Meeches, Geordie and Barbara Woods; mother Debbie Meeches; sisters Tanya Meeches and Chelsea Meeches.

Fern Ann was born in Portage la Prairie on June 7 ^th , 1973. Fern Ann was the apple of her grandpa Edwards eye, the eldest granddaughter.  Fern Ann loved her nieces, nephews and her cousins.  She was wonderful story teller and would reminisce about family gatherings and especially attending pow-wows with her grandparents when she was young.

A viewing will be held at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 7 to 9 pm.  A Traditional Feast and Service will take place at Spirit Lodge in Long Plain First Nation on Thursday, January 15, 2015 beginning at noon.
