 On September 18, 2024 at 1:15 AM, Aprel made her journey to the spirit world with her siblings by her side at Portage General Hospital.

Aprel is predeceased by her Mother Trudy Pashe, Brother Kevin Pashe, Grandparents James and Rose Assiniboine, Bruce and Dolly Pashe and nephew Ashton Meeches.

She leaves behind two big families and will forever be remembered by her father James (Corinne), siblings; Chris, Terry (Denise), Jaymz, Miranda (Robert), Kyle (Kayla), Crystale (Cory), Tyler, Christian (Clarissa), Nathaniel and many nieces and nephews.

Aprel,s life was Hockey, a game she loved and played her whole life. She created many opportunities for herself and attended Rainy River College in Minnesota to play D2 hockey. She also played two years for Prairie Blaze in the Manitoba Woman’s Junior Hockey League and won numerous Championships in the Indigenous hockey circuit.

She loved spending time with family - especially with her Father. She was a Daddy’s girl, and they were always together attending hockey games and travelling to tournaments. She also loved being an aunty, something she was really proud of - making special bonds which each and every one of her nieces and nephews.

She liked being outdoors; quading, skidooing, having fires and travelling to different places to enjoy the landscapes. She also participated in traditional ceremonies; going to sundance, attending sweat lodges and was a pipe carrier.

She loved cooking for her family and liked visiting her siblings and giving a helping hand when needed to anyone that she knew.

Aprel will always hold a special place in every life that she touched. She will be deeply missed by many friends, family, cousins, uncles, aunts and relatives.

Traditional Wake will be held on September 26, 2024, beginning at 4:00 pm at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge, funeral will be held on September 27, 2024 at 12:00 pm at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge. Burial will follow at Old Sioux Cemetery.
