Twin Bear - Neezoday Mukwa
It is with with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Fabian was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth and Edward Meeches, and siblings Debbie, Vernon, Terry.
Fabian was born on March 11, 1974 and unexpectedly left this world November 13, 2021. Fabian is lovingly remembered by his children, Alyssa, Madison, Robert , Wesley and Serone, siblings David, Tim, Bridgette Houle, Ricky Schwenzer and Lisa.
The love and respect Fabian had within his circle of nieces and nephews was fierce.
They are grateful for the time Uncle Fabian spent with each of them.
Fabian will be greatly missed by ‘Pops’-his adopted father, Gerald Bisch. Fabian regarded his Pops as a father figure. Pops and Fabian had many conversations about healing, sobriety and Creator. Fabian provided security for the Cross Ways Community Ministry in Winnipeg. He had many paths to Creator, always guided by faith and prayers, finding peace was always something he strived for.
He had a penchant for weight training and physical fitness. His nephews looked up to Fabian and his nieces always felt his protection. He always had encouraging words for them and uplifted them when they needed it. He never shied away from showing his emotions, always said I love you and made sure they knew it.
From Stefano Grande his former employer:
So saddened to hear this.
I had the pleasure to know Fabian when I worked at the Downtown BIZ as the CEO.
The moment we talked I knew Fabian was as real and authentic as a person can be.
Fabian had applied for employment to one of programs the BIZ created, CHAT, aimed to help people who are homeless off the streets and into a better place.
I was looking for good staff who could better understand and more easily connect with people who were vulnerable and living on the streets, through for no fault of their own. Poverty, and life trauma leading to addictions was a cycle too often witnessed when speaking to the homeless. Being homeless was not an option, but a reality. And Fabian understood this. He had lived experience, struggling himself with life, but he still wanted to help others. Fabian was the type of person who could help make a difference, and he did.
Messages are being sent to Fabian’s family acknowledging his heroism.
From Randy Merrick, Long Plain Fire Chief:
One time Fabian told me " Randy wrestling moves really work" I said "oh yeah how do you know" He says "I got in a fight and I was giving the guy elbow smashes and leg drops, I put him down" We laughed. Fabian. My friend, love that guy.
