On Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Portage District General Hospital, Ernie Ringash passed away at the age of 79 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Josephine; daughter Tracy (Marc) Hebert; son Todd (Julie) Ringash; grandsons Jordan Ringash (Lauren), Alain Hebert (Ainslea), Wesley Hebert (Gina), Wyatt Ringash and Isaac Ringash; sister-in-law Annabelle Ringash and aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ernie was predeceased by his parents John and Mary Ringash and one brother Cliff.
In 53 years of married life Ernie’s home was never without a resident dog, sometimes two or three. Two of the many were “found” dogs that just arrived; they were all loved as he had a great compassion for lost dogs with sad eyes. The last such friend is Kelli who misses him each day since his passing.
A Celebration of Ernie’s Life will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at 1:00 pm at the Herman Prior Center. Private family interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens following the reception.
In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Ernie’s memory to the Portage Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), Box 1426, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 3N9.
