Emily Yvonne Smoke

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Emily Smoke on December 1, 2024 in Portage la Prairie, MB at the age of 37 years. 

Emily leaves to cherish her memory, her mom Lorette Francouer, dad Lorne Smoke, children Damian, Julien, Chloe and Brady, father of her children Brad Foottit, brother Daniel Saltise, step-father Dan Saltise, gramma Yvonne Roulette, grandpa Les (Elaine) Smoke; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her grandfather Raoul J. Francouer and grandmother Annette Smoke. 

Emily loved life, she loved her children with all her hearts and enjoyed the outings with them. Those who knew Emily knew she had compassion for people and saw the good in everyone she met. She was funny and bubbly and liked to laugh. Emily was a big Winnipeg Jets fan and looked forward to watching the games with her dad. 

A funeral service will be held at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Saturday, December 14, 2024 beginning at noon, burial to follow at Dakota Plains Cemetery.
