Elizabeth "Beth" Armishaw

It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Beth at the Portage District General Hospital on the evening of September 22, 2019.

Beth was born Elizabeth Louise Mavis Armishaw on January 19, 1941 to Bert & Vera Armishaw on the family farm in the Hood District, MB. She lived on the family farm for many years and attended Hood School.

Beth is predeceased by her parents Bert and Vera Armishaw, sister Gail and brothers Jim, Wesley, Victor and Ron.

Beth is survived by her daughter Janice (Danny) Bouchard, sisters Joyce and Shirley and brother Delbert.

Beth attended High School at Edwin, MB and later Ste. Rose du Lac High School, during which time she lived in the convent in Ste. Rose. Later she attended Brandon College where she studied Graphic Arts & Design.

Beth loved farm life, and she especially loved horses. She loved horseback riding; loved to read and write poetry. She also loved country music and singing.

The family would like to thank Dr. Omichinski and the staff at medical care & extended care at Portage Hospital for the care and comfort provided to Beth.

Funeral Service will be held at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 1:30 pm, with Rev. Beth Kerr officiating. Interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Mental Health Association – Central Region, 236 Sask. Ave. E, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 0K9 or to Cancer Care Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
