Eleanor Evans

Peacefully, with her family by her side, Eleanor passed away the Portage District General Hospital on September 25, 2021 at the age of 87 years.

Eleanor will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her sons, Daryl and Ronnie (Debbie) and daughters, Patricia (Garth) Sandercock and Diane (Cameron) Fingas; grandchildren Jason (Leslie), Megan, Drew, Devon (Erica), Brett, Connor (Naomi), Laura (Adam), Tracey (Blaine), Kelley (Joran) and six great grandchildren.   She will also be dearly missed by her sister Joyce as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends Blanche, Joyce and Dale.

She was predeceased by her parents Lulu and Clifford Bridal; her son Dale; brothers Jack, Tom, Harry, Ken, Vern and Mort and her sisters Betty and Gladys.

Eleanor enjoyed camping and spending time at her cottage in her younger years.  As well, she loved a good game of cards, but gardening was her passion.  She always had a very abundant garden and looked forward each spring to get the garden planted.

A time of viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Manitoba 1 - 452 Dovercourt Drive, Winnipeg, MB, R3Y 1G4 or to a charity of one’s choice.
