Peacefully on Friday, October 19, 2012 at the Portage District General Hospital with family by her side, Eileen Webb passed away at the age of 76 years.
Eileen was born on March 23, 1936 in Hamiota, MB to Thomas and Bertha Spiller. She was raised in Cardale, MB and moved to Portage la Prairie when she was 16 years old. She married the love of her life, Don Webb on June 13, 1953 and together they raised 6 children. Eileen's life revolved around her family, taking great pride in their many accomplishments.
Eileen worked as a Home Care Attendant for 10 years and later took a position as a Resource Coordinator. She retired in 1993 and together she and Don enjoyed traveling and spending many winters in BC with family.
Eileen will be lovingly remembered by her husband Don; daughter-in-law Betty-Anne Webb (Ryan and Krista); sons Terry and Peggy (Rick and Brittany), Rick and Janice (Leanne and Kaylie), Bob and Karen (Chad and Kara), Scott and Wendy (Bryant and Randi); daughter Traci and Tracey (Jayce and Tori); 5 great grandchildren; sister Joyce Cole and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Bertha Spiller; beloved son Graham; granddaughter Melissa; great granddaughter Jessica; siblings Isabelle Koroscil, Doreen Dutka, Marge Mallet, Cam Spiller and Lyall Spiller.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 1:30 pm at Trinity United Church, Portage la Prairie with Rev. Marg Scott officiating. Private family interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, if friends wish, donations may be made in Eileen's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 21 Royal Road S., Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 1T8.
