Together they raised their four kids on the Rae family farm. After the kids were grown, she returned to the work force and then began volunteering.
Dorothy was very independent and selfless, and was a gentle soul who rarely had a bad word to say about anyone. Her outlook on life was always “At least we have our health and there are always people who are worse off than us.” She enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with all the grandkids. She like gardening, bingo, baking and spent many hours volunteering at the DCL. She was especially known for her famous fudge!!!
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the staff of the Douglas Campbell Lodge for the wonderful care Mom received while living there.
