Doreen Verwey

With her daughters by her side, Doreen Verwey passed away just after midnight on May 11th, 2019.

She was a loving Mom to her daughters Jane and Dawn and a doting Grandmother to the apples of her eye, her grandchildren, Anne and Curtis.

She will also be lovingly remembered by her siblings Shirley, Ed (Crystal), Gail (Ray) and Danny (Marisa); many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mom will be remembered as a great Mom and Grandmother, a happy hour enthuiast and a fun travel companion during many Grand Forks trips.  She was happiest with her kids and grandkids around and was very recently out for dinner for Easter at her daughter’s house.

A private family burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Doreen’s memory to Sunset Palliative Care Inc, Box 92, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 3B2.
