Donald (Don) Wismer
With heavy hearts we regret to announce the passing of Don Wismer on Sunday, December 2, 2012 in Winnipeg, MB at the age of 83 years. He was born on July 11, 1929 at Burwash, ON.
Don leaves to mourn his passing, son Mark (Sherry) and grandsons Cameron and Dylan all of La Salle, Manitoba; daughter Cheryl Wismer and grandchildren Terence (TJ), Vanessa, Christian and Kasey all of Winnipeg; along with many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Anne and parents, William and Ethel Wismer, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
Don was very proud of his 26 years of service with the Royal Canadian Air Forces.
At Don's request, cremation has taken place. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 1:30 pm at St. Mary's Anglican Church, 36-2nd St. S.W. in Portage la Prairie, with the Rev. Brian Flower officiating. Interment is to follow at Evergreen Columbarium, Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Portage la Prairie, MB. A reception is to follow at St. Mary's Parish Hall, 2nd St. SW.
