Delmarie May Sing

With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Delmarie Sing on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Lions Prairie Manor at the age of 82 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Wally; parents Reginald and Edith Barrett; daughter Jocelyn McBride; siblings Arthur, Genevieve, Albert, Kay, Les and Reg. Delmarie is survived by her sons Laurie and Jeffery (Tracey); son-in-law Doug McBride; grandchildren Roxanne Sewell, Philip Walker and Kylie Dawn Lenton Sing; great grandchildren Taylor Sewell, Caitlyn Sewell and Jordan Parisian; ; siblings Roger (Maggie) Barrett, Bob (Aldene) Barrett, Nelson Barrett, Joan (Nick) Nixon and Cecil (Roma) Barrett and many nieces and nephews.
Delmarie was born in Portage la Prairie and lived her entire life here. She attended her education in Portage Collegiate Institute. She met Wally Arthur Sing and they got married and raised their 3 children together in Portage la Prairie. Delmarie was a very patient, loving and kind person, She enjoyed camping and growing flowers. She loved to spend time with all her friends, and also going to church to be with church family. She had a huge passion for painting for many years, and being a member of the Portage District Arts Council. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Visitation and viewing will be held at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Friday, April 4, 2014 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. A Celebration of Delmarie’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at 1:30 pm at St. Mary’s Anglican Church. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Delmarie’s memory to the The Kidney Foundation of Canada, MB Branch, Unit 1-452 Dovercourt Drive, Winnipeg, MB, R3Y 1G4.
