Debbie Bailey

June 7, 1975 — January 18, 2018

DEBORAH ANNE BAILEY (GLOVER)

Tragically on Thursday, January 18, 2018 our beautiful Debbie passed away at the age of 42. Debbie was born June 7, 1975 in Carman, MB to Bill and Angelle Glover. Debbie lived briefly in  Homewood, Linklater, and Minto before her family settled in Elkhorn in 1979. Debbie attended Elkhorn School, graduating in 1993. She worked at the Esso Cafe in Elkhorn while attending high school and continued after graduation. She then went on to study Business Administration at Assiniboine Community College, later working for a short time at Super Thrifty Drugs in Virden. Her banking career began in 1997 with CIBC in Portage la Prairie, later moving to Portage Credit Union now called Stride Credit Union where she was currently employed.

Debbie met the love of her life, Brad Bailey in 2001. They made the perfect pair and were married June 14, 2005 in a private ceremony in Las Vegas. They made their home in Portage la Prairie and loved it there. They have three beautiful children: Paige 9, Sydney 7, and Reid 4. Debbie was a kind and caring wife and mother and loved nothing more than spending time with her family.

Debbie was talented in many ways – she could knit, sew, crochet and created many items with love for her family, but particularly spoiled Brooke and Karli who were her only nieces for a few years and got her undivided attention and love.

Debbie was very involved in Portage, being Treasurer for Portage Minor Hockey, on the Portage Ukrainian Nursery School Board of Directors, and was involved with the Seeds of Empathy Program.

Debbie is survived and will be dearly missed by her loving husband Brad, their precious children – Paige, Sydney, & Reid, her parents- Bill & Angelle (Desrochers) Glover of Elkhorn, Parents-in-Law – Pat (Moran) & Cliff Cooke of Portage.

Debbie will also be missed by her siblings Bonita & Rodney Frederick of Elkhorn, Tara & Luc Barnabe of Grande Pointe, Mike & Kelsey Glover of Brandon, brother-in-Law Dan & Christine Bailey of Minnedosa, and sister-in-Law Libby & Pat Gair of Portage,

nieces & nephews: Brooke & Karli Frederick, Andre & Margaux Barnabe, Cayden & Asher Glover, Nolan, Graham, & Adam Bailey, Donavan Ostapowich & McKenna Gair as well as numerous aunts, uncles, & cousins.

Debbie was predeceased by her grandparents: Etienne & Dora Desrochers and James & Marion Glover.
