Owwl Entity passed away at his home in Portage la Prairie, MB on Thursday, May 26, 2016.
Owwl Entity was born in Winnipeg, MB and moved to Portage la Prairie early on. Most of his years were spent between Portage la Prairie and Winnipeg. Owwl Entity was very proud of his Ukrainian & Metis Heritage, and was the biggest hearted person that walked this earth. David was a great hearted person, he touched all he came in contact with. His Hip Hop music and crews were his passion. He loved his family so much including friends. He was so very loving. He loved going out to Dakota Tipi & Swan Lake to hang with his homies. He loved nature and was free spirited, open minded and a true conspiracy theorist.
He leaves to mourn his father Darren, mother Debi, girlfriend ShyLynne McKay, with whom he was very proud to be expecting his first child, brothers Benji & Jesse, grandma Millie, who he held very close to his heart, and Grandpa Rod Knott, cousins he had a special bond with Jay Asham and Theresa Thiessen, aunts & uncles Dave (Shirley), Danny (Sandra), Diane (Lorne), special uncle Cory Knott, Gale (Scott) and Sandy (Albert), as well as many nieces, nephews & cousins that he thought the world of.
He was predeceased by grandparents Lorretta & Mike Rustulka and Tony Panko, uncle Robbie Asham and close cousin Curtis Asham.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Wilson, Scott Thiessen, Benji Rustulka, Gordie Gallinger, Matt Carruthers, Shaun Pashe, Danny Panko Jr., Leon Pashe, Shaun Peters, Jay Asham. Honourary Pallbearers will be Roman Houle, Sean Meeches, Cole Shelly, ZK Crowley, Bryan Byers, Justin White, King Shaman and all his homies in the hip-hop community.
Funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the Herman Prior Centre at 1:00 pm, led by Father Michael Tkachuk and Pastor Glen Loewen. Following the service, burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Owwl Entity’s memory to Portage Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), Box 1426, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 3N9.
