Daniel Gibb Meeches

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel “Danny” Meeches on November 9, 2023 at the Health Science Center at the age of 66 years.

Left to cherish Danny’s memory is his one and only nephew Michael Kates from Calgary, AB; his sister-in-law Susan Kates of Calgary, AB; aunties Maureen Sinclair-Myran and family, Tresa Sanderson and family, Donna Bartlett and family, Gerri Thunderbirdsky and family, Rosie Prince and family; cousins Chris YellowQuill, Jonathan Myran, Shayne Myran, David Meeches, Tim Meeches, Lisa Meeches, Sheila YellowQuill, Shelley Peters, Sherri Courchene, Kendrea Peters, and all other aunts, uncles and cousins too many to mention.

He was predeceased by his one and only brother Gerald Meeches; mother Louise Meeches-Myran; father Gilbert Gibb Meeches; his maternal grandparents Florence Myran-YellowQuill and Andrew Myran and his paternal grandparents Jeannie Meeches/Daniels and George Prince.

Wake will take place on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge beginning at 4:00 pm. Feast and service will be held on Friday, November 24, 2023 at noon at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge, followed by burial at YellowQuill Cemetery.
