Suddenly on Saturday, May 1, 2010 Curtis Donovan Evan LaPorte, age 2, was taken away into the arms of the Creator. Baby Curtis was born at the Portage District General Hospital on May 4, 2007.
Curtis was shy, quiet child who loved to help his mother bake and was mommy's helper. Today would have been his third birthday.
Curtis leaves to mourn his mother Cheryl LaPorte, father Frank Maytwayashing, siblings Jonathan, Precious, Frankie and Shaylene, his maternal grandparents William LaPorte (Esther Cameron) and Eva Fontaine (Carter Sumner) all of Long Plain and his paternal grandparents Donna Maytwayashing and Frank Beaulieu from Lake Manitoba. He also left behind many relatives and friends.
A Traditional Wake will be held at Long Plain Spirit Lodge on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 4:00 pm with the Traditional Funeral Service on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 11:00 am. The burial will take place at Long Plain Cemetery.
