It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Cory Amab Prince.
Cory was predeceased by his father Walter James Smith, mother Sylvia Prince, step-mother Brenda Smith, uncles Donnie Smith and Morley Smith, aunties Anne Smith and Mary Smith and cousins Steven “Boss” Smith and Benjamin Richard.
Left to mourn Cory’s passing are his brothers Jerry Smith (Ashley), Carl Smith (Chelsea), Jesse Smith (Taya) and Matthew Prince, sisters and step-sisters Anka Prince, Brenda Kanski (Alex), Christine Cleaver and Sandra (Joe) Frommelt, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives.
Cory was born on April 25, 1988 in Ashern, MB and was raised in Macgregor until 2001 when the family moved to Long Plain First Nation. Cory loved his family more than anything else. You could always count on him to have your back. Even though he had the “tough guy” attitude, he had the biggest heart and was kind and caring. His laugh and smile was infectious and will always be remembered, Cory was also an excellent shot when it came to hunting, as our dad would always tell us.
Cory will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
