Heaven has gained another angel. It is with deep sorrow and profound sadness that the family of Connie announce her sudden passing in Portage la Prairie, MB at the age of 42 years. Our loving granddaughter, daughter, mother, sister, koko, auntie and friend.

She will be forever remembered and loved by her children, daughter Shaylene (Jared), twins Jayda and Jayden, son Jacob, grandbabies Aria and Wolf, special lifelong friend Bobby, mother Lorraine, koko Delores, siblings Denise (Terry), Angela (Sheldon) and Travis, aunty Cheryl L., uncle Ashley and special sister Tannis.

She was predeceased by father Harvey Peters, stepdad Lawrence Myran, Brother Harvey Meeches, grandpa Tom Chaske, granny and grandpa Laura and Harvey Peters, niece Shayla and nephews Leevi and Shelton.

Connie attended school in Long Plain and Portage la Prairie, and later completed her training as a Health Care Aide with Southern Heath Sante Sud, offering her skills and experience to her community and various facilities throughout Portage la Prairie. She also enjoyed her time and the company of her co-workers working at the Long Plain Store when it was first established.

Connie was filled with heart warming love and laughter. She enjoyed being sociable and getting dressed up to go out to functions, her bright smile would light up a room. Her love and infectious laughter and silly personality will be greatly missed by her many family and friends.

The family would like to thank all those who reached out and offered their condolences, time and assistance in planning and arrangements.

Wake will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, beginning at 4:00 pm at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge, Feast & Ceremony will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at 12:00 noon at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge. Burial will follow at Dauphin Myerion Cemetery.
