Colin is survived by his daughter Ann Konopasek and grandson Hayden of Victoria BC (whom he sadly never was able to meet); siblings Darrell McManus of Pine River, MB, Lorraine McManus of Ottawa, ON, Larry McManus, Geraldine McManus, Colleen McManus and Donna McManus all of Winnipeg, MB; siblings on his father’s side Stanley, Wayne, Shannon, Shayn, Sage, Shayenne, Sacha-Paul and Shaun along with many nieces and nephews and their families.
When Colin was younger he liked fishing, camping, riding his bike and playing pool which he was very good at. Colin kept up his love of riding his bike and would ride it all winter, having been seen by many family members and friends with his frozen mustache and goatee. He liked having his cousin Miranda braid his goatee and put little beads on them. Colin loved to laugh and joke around and made everyone laugh with his imitation of Bob Marley with his colorful hat and dread locks. He loved his family and helped whenever he could.
Colin was homeless and spoke to the Chief of Police about it, sharing his experience of what it was like. Throughout it all, he went to work every day possible for Perfect Placement Systems for the last ten years – Ryan said he will be sadly missed. Colin enjoyed working every day that he could and was a very hard worker. In the end, Colin finally found himself and stated he was in the “Penthouse Suite” on the 11 th floor at Elgin and Ellen Apartments. He got to enjoy his beautiful view for the last week of his life.
