With family by his side, Charles Lamblez passed away on November 3, 2024 at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 73 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his son Ryan (Denyse) Lamblez of Oakville, daughter Tanya (Jamie) Lamblez of Portage la Prairie, grandchildren Adam (Brooklyn), Ashley, Georgia, Spencer, Dominick (Carleigh), Ariana, Sienna, and was looking forward to his first great-grandchild, mother-in-law Margarite Martin, sisters Joan Dufresne and Lois Caron, sister-in-law Margaret Lamblez, along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Sharon Lamblez (nee Martin), parents Emil and Ella Lamblez, father-in-law Delmar Martin, brother Mark Lamblez and brothers-in-law Maurice Dufresne and Roger Caron.
Charles was born in Portage la Prairie and attending school at West Curtis School then on to high school in Portage. He enjoyed watching game shows and hockey games, with his favourite team being the Montreal Canadiens. He loved to golf in his spare time. Charles was a dedicated worker and worked at Brett Young Seeds for over 35 years, had to take an early retirement for health reasons. He will be missed by all who knew him over the years.
The family would like to thank the nurses at the Portage District General Hospital for their care and compassion.
A celebration of Charles’ life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at the Oakville Community Centre at 1:00 pm. The service will be livestreamed, to register and view the service see below. A private family interment will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in Charles’ memory to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation – Cadiac Unit, C1005 - 369 Tache Ave, Winnipeg, MB, R2H 2A6 or Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 1379 Kenaston Boulevard Winnipeg, MB R3P 2T5.
