We are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Carolynne Sharp on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 71 years.

Carolynne was predeceased by her husband Ken Sharp; parents Albert and Virginia Lockwood; brothers Tom and Larry Lockwood.  She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Tracey (Glenn) O’Neill of Stony Plain, AB with granddaughter Danica of Ottawa, ON and Sarah of Stony Plain, AB; son Ronald (Mary) Sharp of Wabasca, AB with granddaughter Kendra of Wabasca, AB; sister and brother-in-laws Joan Pongoski, Verna and Bill Sharp, Raymond and Gail Sharp and Heather Sharp all of Portage la Prairie, Sharon Lockwood of Coldstream, BC; aunt Thora London of Vancouver, BC; cousins Lyn and Bernice Lockwood of Vancouver, BC, Noreen Treemer of Sydney, BC and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all our Portage family, Mom’s friends and the Sunset Palliative Care Volunteers who visited, helped and stayed with her through her illness.  Especially we thank auntie Joan Pongoski and niece Janet Peeters.

A private family burial has taken place at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Portage la Prairie.

As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Carolynne’s memory to the Sunset Palliative Care Inc, Box 92, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 3B2 or Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave, Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1P6.
