Barrie Brown

Barrie Brown passed away at the Portage District General Hospital on June 20, 2011.

He was born on December 23, 1924 the second son of Walter and Myrtle Brown. He farmed all his life in the Macdonald District. He was also a carpenter and a do it yourself person.

He was predeceased by his parents, brother Harley, a son Scott and daughter-in-law Kathy, and a grandson Jonathan.

Barrie is survived by his wife Elsie (Wussie), daughter Cathie, and son Dan (Carol). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, his sister and brother-in-law Berna and Norm Young, and his brother George Brown.

At Barrie's request there will be no funeral service. A family burial will be held at a later date.

Donations in memory of Barrie may be made to Central Plains Cancer Care Services, 318 Sask. Ave. E, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N OK8, or to a charity of your choice.
