Brian Shorting Jr.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend, Brian Shorting on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at the age of 46 years.

Brian was predeceased his baby with Charlotte Huntinghawk, mother Joyce Longclaws, father Brian Shorting Sr., grandparents Phillip and Mae Longclaws, Joe Bird and Charity Shorting, aunts and uncle Melba Bailey and Linda (Dale) Roach, as well as many other aunts, uncles and relatives.

Left to mourn his passing are his children Bryan, Brent, Brianna, Kristin and Michael, siblings Evan, Butler, Melanie Shorting, Nicole Shorting, Joseph Shorting, Roxanne Hudson and Melissa (Dennis) Peters, special aunts and uncle Doris (Garry) Meeches and Lucy Shorting, special friends Mikey Prince, Les Myerion and his Winnipeg crew, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Brian liked playing cards, scrabble and cribbage and visiting with family. He will be dearly missed.

Wake will take place at Long Plain Spirit Lodge on Friday, December 13, 2024 beginning at at 4:00 pm. Feast and Ceremony will be held at Long Plain Spirit Lodge on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at noon.
