Beverley Ann Gale
(nee Lavallee)
Peacefully on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 Bev Gale passed away at the age of 61 years.
She was predeceased by her parents Albert and Antoinette Lavallee, brother Maurice Lavallee, nephew Arlan Papequash and special friend Jack Sayak. Bev is survived by daughter Jamilee Gale (Shaun Nepinak); grandson Matthew Nepinak; best friend Sandra Spriggs; special extended family Frank Horodecki, Jimmy Horetchko, Chris Heppner and Kodi Smoke; brother Ralph (Donna) Lavallee; sisters Doris MacIsaac, Debbie MacIsaac, Deanna Douglas; sister-in-law Carol Lavallee and all of their families.
Mom was a dedicated, caring person to her family and extended family. She devoted her life to being a caregiver for the Mentally Challenged individuals whom she cherished. Mom’s greatest passion in life was the birth of her daughter Jamilee and then the birth of her grandson Matthew.
Sandra “Sam” was mom’s strength and support. For the past 12 years they shared a home doing what they both loved, which was taking care of the Boys! Mom had many friends and she loved and enjoyed the company of them all! They would spend hours around the table drinking coffee and solving all the problems of the world! Also many evenings were spent playing cards with the “ole” dolls. Florence is Mom’s lifelong friend who she grew up with and they shared many memories and adventures together.
Mom will be sadly missed by all who loved and knew her.
We would like to thank the nurses at Portage District General Hospital and to especially thank Dr. Price for his dedicated care of Mom throughout the years.
An evening of saying goodbye will take place at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. Private burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Canadian Diabetes Association, 200 – 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6 or to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba – Portage Office, 103 Wilkinson Crescent, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 1A7 made in Bev’s name would be greatly appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory and cared for by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel. 204-857-4021 www.mckenziesportagefuneralchapel.com
