Mom’s life made full circle when she started her journey into the hands of our Creator on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the age of 93.

Mom was born and raised in Swan Lake FN, then moved to Long Plain FN where she raised her family, and also helped to raise other people’s kids. She even worked at Long Plain Daycare for a few years. Mom always followed her traditional culture, and was a Sundancer.  Mom was a residential school survivor, and was the last survivor of her generation. In March of 2009, Mom moved to Lions Prairie Manor, which she accepted as her home.

Mom was predeceased by her husband James Daniels, sons Gerald and Glen Daniels, stepson Garry Meeches, daughter Velma Meeches, grandson Brendan, granddaughters Jerilyn Prince, Amy and Cheryl Pashe, three great-grandsons and daughter-in-law Eileen Pashe.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons Cecil, Morris (Betty), Laverne (Rhonda) and Dwayne (Myrna) Daniels, daughters Leona Meeches and Doris (Bob) Daniels, adopted sons  Ralph Roulette Sr. and George Meeches, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Betty’s family would like to thank the staff at Lions Prairie Manor for the wonderful care she received during her years there.

Wake will take place at Long Plain Spirit Lodge on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 4:00 pm.  Traditional Feast and Service will be held at Long Plain Spirit Lodge on Monday, January 14, 2019 beginning at noon. Burial to follow at Long Plain Cemetery.
