On Tuesday, January 24, 2012 with her husband and children by her side, Barb peacefully entered the Spirit World.

Barb leaves to mourn her passing her husband of 47 years Edward Peters; her children Virginia, Dwayne (Kerry), Farrell, Cindy, Darlene (Mervin), Trisha and Trevor (Olivia); stepsons Wayne Campbell and Barry Tukundum; 38 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Also to mourn are her brothers Raymond Meeches, Kenny, Billy and Blair Martin; sisters Linda, Karen and Patricia Martin; sisters-in-law Ivy Peters, Sandra Peters, Vicky (Don) Lounsbury, Ruby Peters and Wendy Myran; her aunts Elsie Cameron, Minnie Tukundum, Mary McKinney, Nancy Tukundum; uncle Simon (Grace) Tukundum as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews and their families. Our apologies for those we may have missed.

Barb was predeceased by her beloved daughter Sheila on September 9, 2007; her parents Rose Tukundum and Johnny Cameron and biological parents Gwen and Keith Martin.

Barb was employed with Long Plain First Nation for the last 30 years as the N/K bus driver. She enjoyed bingo, vlt's and shopping as well as taking care of her home and gardening. But most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Traditional Wake will be held on Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge beginning at 4:00 pm. Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, January 28, 2012 in the Long Plain Spirit Lodge at 11:00 am officiated by Ken McKinney. Interment is to follow at Long Plain Cemetery. The Active Pallbearers are Trevor Peters, Farrell Peters, Mervin Roulette, Ryan McKinney, Barry Tukundum and Keith Cameron. The Honourary Pallbearers are Joyce Hobson, Doreen Tukundum, Betty Ann Soldier, Sherry Meeches, Marie Wescoupe, Gloria Linklater, Leona Meeches, Shirley Myran and all those in attendance.

Special thanks to Palliative Care Staff at Portage District General Hospital, Donald and Isabel Daniels and Long Plain First Nation Chief and Council. And thanks to all the ladies who assisted in preparation a�" Freida John, Jackie Daniels, Ruth Roulette and Marlene's girls. The family requests no children at the wake and funeral.
