Azalia Rae Lynn Peters

March 23, 2024 — May 24, 2024

With sadness we announce the sudden passing of our baby girl, daughter, niece, granddaughter and great-granddaughter Azalia Peters on May 24, 2024 at the age of two months.

Baby Azalia will be greatly missed by her parents Tim Peters and Kala Twiss, brothers Timothy Jr., Zayden, Jordan, Harlyn, Eli and Zane, sisters Lilly, Addy and Ember, paternal grandmother Noella Levasseur, maternal grandparents Jason Twiss (Jennifer) and Lana Moir (George), and maternal great-grandmother Lynn Twiss as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Baby Azalia was predeceased by her paternal great-grandparents, Noel Joseph and Marlene, maternal great-grandfather Art, baby cousin Geordon Jr., Uncle Art and grandma-auntie Pamela.

Baby Azalia was born on March 23, 2024 in Winnipeg, MB. She had the biggest, most beautiful light brown eyes, and the cutest dimples. She was a happy, content baby girl. She enjoyed when her big sister Lilly would talk to her, her big brothers Eli and Harlyn loved carrying her and staring at her… her siblings were all in awe of her. Our baby girl was so strong, she always tried to hold her head up.  Azalia always enjoyed bath time… especially washes on her neck.

The family would like to thank Portage General Hospital, the paramedics for trying tirelessly to keep our baby here, Uncle Trayce for helping Kala perform CPR until help arrived, Manitoba First Nation Police, nurse Carrie at PDGH, everyone who stopped by our home, Long Plain First Nation Chief and Council, Long Plain Public Works, firekeepers, cooks, Colin James, Karen and McKenzies Funeral Home, Grandmas Ivy Myran, Sandra Peters and Ruthie Roulette, and Lisa Assiniboine and family.

Wake will take place at Keeshkeemaquah Conference Centre, LPFN 6B beginning at 4:00 pm, Wednesday May 29,2024.  Feast and Ceremony will be held at Keeshkeemaquah Conference Centre on Thursday May 30, 2024 at noon with burial to follow at Hillside Cemetery.

A tree will be planted in memory and cared for by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel.  www.mckenziesportagefuneralchapel.com
