Peacefully at home after a short illness, Ann Bray passed away on Friday, August 26, 2011 at the age of 79 years.

Ann will be lovingly remembered by her husband Harris of Portage la Prairie, daughter Betty Ann (Joseph) Henderson of Portage la Prairie, son Harris (Louise) of Regina, Saskatchewan and daughter Kelly of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Lori (Brian) Donnelly of Winnipeg, Richard Henderson of Portage la Prairie, Kayla and Allison Bray of Regina, Saskatchewan; and two great grandchildren. She also leaves her two sisters Janet Genest of Toronto and Elizabeth Poulsen of Ottawa and their families. Ann was predeceased by her parents.

Ann was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. She attended McGill University in Montreal and graduated in 1956 with a Bachelor of Science (Home Ec.). Mom and Dad were married on September 22, 1956 and together they raised their three children. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, traveling, puzzles, reading, and belonged to a number of groups. She was active in the Canadian Figure Skating Association, was an honorary life member of Girl Guides of Canada, and volunteered with the RCMP Portage la Prairie detachment. Mom was a very caring and loving wife, mother, sister, friend, and neighbour, and she will be missed by all who knew her.

At Ann's request cremation has taken place and there will be no formal funeral service.
