Andrew Lucien Lambert
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Father and Perper, Andrew Lambert on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the age of 68 years.
He was predeceased by his father Lucien Lambert, sister Sr. Eliza Lambert and brothers Norman and John Lambert. Andrew will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Annette (Sean) Palmer and grandchildren Samantha and Tyler all of Portage la Prairie; daughter Jennifer Lambert (Aaron Gilboord) and grandchildren Logan, Drew and Ayden all of Portage la Prairie; son Shawn Napper of Saskatchewan; his mother Thérése of Portage la Prairie; brother Charles Lambert of Portage la Prairie, sister May McKinnon of Portage la Prairie; brother Joseph (Cecile) Lambert of Kelliher, Sask.; sister Germaine (Jim) Free of Portage la Prairie; sister Madelaine (Karl) Savinkoff of West Virginia, USA and brother Felix Lambert of Portage la Prairie; the mother of his daughters, Audrey Lesage of Portage la Prairie; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Andrew was born on March 25, 1945 in St. Ambroise, Manitoba to Lucien and Thérése Lambert where he was raised with his many siblings. He tried his hand at different careers – nursing, teaching, cowboy, construction but found his niche as a power engineer with Husky Oil. He was extremely intelligent and could solve just about any problem that was presented to him. Although Andrew was easy going and laid back, he could be very stubborn. Andrew enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was an accomplished hunter with several awards of distinction in big game hunting including the Boone & Crockett Award. He also found pleasure in playing cards & games and would love a practical joke. Andrew loved his family who were very important to him. He was always ready for the “Bear Hug” especially with his grandchildren.
