Adam Grant Woods

Suddenly on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, Adam began his journey into the Spirit World at the age of 50 years. 

He is predeceased by his grandparents George and Barbara Woods, Norman Yellowquill and Flora Houle; father Grant Woods; sisters Marjorie Woods, Kim Reeder; brother Dion. 

He will sadly missed by his children Eric Woods, Aaron Woods, Pejuta Demarc and Berdall Peters all of Long Plain First Nation, mom Liz Yellowquill of Long Plain First Nation; sisters Yolanda Woods of Winnipeg, Tracy (Mark) Dandurand of Surrey, BC; brothers Cheney (Crystal) Woods of Winnipeg, Steve Woods of Winnipeg, Richard Yellowquill of Winnipeg, Robert Benoit of Minnesota; grandchildren Karl Walker Woods and Aliah Smoke-Woods along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

Adam was born in Portage la Prairie. In his younger years he loved playing hockey. He loved spending time with family, especially Karl and Aliah. He loved watching sports, especially the Pittsburg Penguins. He will be truly missed by those who got to know him over the years. 

Traditional Wake will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge beginning at 4:00 pm. Traditional Feast and Service will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge beginning at noon. Burial to follow in the Woods Myran cemetery.
