Ethel Ruth Reid (nee Kyle)

Peacefully, on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, Ruth Reid passed away at the Lions Prairie Manor at the age of 76 years.

Predeceased by her parents Robert and Ethel Kyle; siblings Keith Kyle and June Belanger and infant sister Shirley Kyle.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Ann Marie (Maurice) Mazurat of Ponoka, AB, Brenda Haddad (Daniel De Serre) of Southport, MB, Earl (Lorraine) Reid of Portage la Prairie, MB and Dale Reid of Portage la Prairie, MB; grandchildren Adam (Yvonne) Mazurat,  Jennifer (Ian) Hoffman, Kenny Mazurat, Benjamin (Naomi) Haddad, Kyle  Haddad, Daniel Haddad, Shawn Miness, Roxanne Miness and Ashley (Glen) Reid; great grandchildren Abbygale Mazurat, Kieran Eggie, Anthony, Jada and Jaden Miness, Naomi and Reyna Miness and devoted sister Audrey Kyle of Portage la Prairie, MB.

Ruth was a loving and caring person, always willing to help others.  She loved to laugh, sing and listen to music.  She also loved the outdoors and nature.  Ruth loved to help people and spend time with her family.  She was a dedicated member of Portage Highway Tabernacle, Portage Terriers Ladies Auxiliary and Portage Women’s 10 pin bowling.

A Celebration of Ruth’s Life will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Highway Pentecostal Church, 1680 Sask. Ave. W, Portage la Prairie at 2:00 pm led by Pastor Doug Hope. Private family interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Ruth’s memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 21 Royal Road S., Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 1T8 or to Highway Pentecostal Church, 1680 Sask.
