Gregory Keith Bryson

Greg Bryson was born on December 2, 1949 in Portage la Prairie, Mb to Allen & Dora Bryson (deceased). With family by his side he entered into rest on Wednesday, October24, 2012 at the age of 62.

Greg was born and raised in Portage la Prairie. He married Eleonore Baart in 1970 and moved to Thompson shortly after to work at the Inco mine and the post office. He moved back to Portage in 1974and shortly after started a butcher shop in his house in High Bluff. After deciding to expand he purchased the Saskatchewan Avenue store that became known as Midtown Market. He operated the business for 33 years before retiring in 2010. In keeping with his practicality, he had resourcefulness and the unwillingness to throw anything out. He was also a long serving member on the Board of Portage and District Recycling. He enjoyed fishing and spending time at Delta, helping his children with their many home reno's but his greatest joy was playing with his 8 grandchildren. He will be loving remembered by his wife of 42 years Eleonore; son Erin Bryson and grandchildren Justice & Calista; daughter Jennifer (Dave) Turner and grandchildren Maren, Mackenzie & Delaney; son Tony (Elaine) Bryson and grandchildren Seth, Chloe & Lauren and Eleonore's large extended family. Greg is also survived by his siblings Hugh (Vivian) Bryson, Pat (Keith) Moon and Bob (Dawn) Bryson and their families.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 7:00 to 8:00 pm at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 1:00 pm at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel with Deacon Bill Parrack officiating. The family invites you to join them for a reception after the service. A private family interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Greg's memory to the charity of your choice.
